Order Enrichment Console "Too Many Configurations Added" Error

Symptom

After Calculate Totals, the Solution is saved but the message "Order Enrichments have errors" appears. No visible error is shown in the OE console. Hovering over the information icon on the Cost OE tab reveals the error: "Too many configurations added."

Cause

The Product Definition's Non-Commercial Product Association record defines a maximum limit for Order Enrichments of each type. When OE count exceeds this limit, the "Too many configurations added" error is triggered.

Resolution

Step 1: Identify the error message

Open the Order Enrichment Console for the affected basket. Hover over the information (i) icon on each OE tab (e.g., Cost) to see the actual error message.

Step 2: Identify the affected tab

Determine which tab shows "Too many configurations added."

Step 3: Navigate to the Product Definition

Go to the Product Definition record associated with the affected product.

Step 4: Check the Non-Commercial Product Association

Go to the Non-Commercial Product Association related list and open the relevant Non-Commercial Product Association record. Check the maximum limit field — this defines how many OEs of that type can be added.

Step 5: Resolve the limit

Either:

  • Increase the maximum limit value if more OEs are needed, OR
  • Remove excess OE configurations to stay within the limit

Step 6: Verify the fix

Recalculate Totals and verify the error is resolved.

Additional Notes

  • The error may not be immediately visible in the OE console — always hover over the information icon on OE tabs to see detailed error messages
  • Review maximum limits on all Non-Commercial Product Association records during product setup to ensure they match business requirements
